To
all firearms and gear vendors, 2nd Amendment
supporters, gun show volunteers and the General
Public:
Over the last three years, we have had many many
friends and professional associates ask "Why
aren't there any real guns show's anymore?"
The question is a sincere one. Like many of
these folks, we have witnessed with frustration
and disappointment what is happening to the
legitimate firearms, gear exhibitors and dealers,
and I've seen the influx of unrelated "flea
market" type merchandise diluting the quality
of regional Gun and Knife show offerings. The
average firearms enthusiast has lost confidence
in the idea of a quality Gun and Knife show,
as the array of vendors has expanded to include
everything from beanie babies to beaded necklaces.
As the idea and initial planning for the Real
Wilmington Gun Show began to take shape, we've
been asked numerous times, "What will
make the Real Wilmington Gun Show any different?"
The short answer to that question is "No
Flea Market vendors."
The response from quality firearms and gear
vendors -- as well as the dedicated firearms
enthusiast community -- has been tremendous.
Our shows have been a smash hit. Both days of each of the events
were packed with attendees from eastern North
Carolina and well-beyond, some of whom drove
several hours to visit the event.
Both
vendors and attendees have been pleased with the
show offerings and the focus on GUNS and GUN-related
items. They were equally pleased that the atmosphere
of the event was fun, family oriented and entertaining.
Because the dealers who have attended our events reported great success (exceptional
in some cases!) and because the firearms enthusiast
public has validated the logic of our "No
Flea Market Junk" concept by finding us,
attending, and loyally supporting us, we're filling up the schedule for this year. Each of our upcoming
events promises to be bigger, better, and more
successful than the previous.
All of our events, because of their focus
on GUNS and GUN-related items only - will continue
to be among the best quality that Wilmington
(or anywhere in the state) has enjoyed for quite
some time time.
Prior to our first shows in 2006 and 2007, exhibitors and vendors worked the Real
Wilmington Gun Show that have never exhibited
or sold east of I-95 except at our events. There
promises to be a great selection of firearms,
ammo, gear, gun related items and collectable
Militaria.
There will be absolutely no fudge, beef jerky,
Beanie Babies, t-shirts, motorcycle vests, no
reproduction signs, no jewelry or other "flea
market" items that proliferate nearly all
of the broadly promoted "Gun Shows" today.
We can assure the attending public that there
will not be any blow guns, rubber band or soft
air guns either.
We promise that
"The Real Wilmington Gun Show" will be conducted in full compliance with
State and Federal laws.
Hence our name The Real Wilmington
Gun Show.
